Emily graduated from UVIC with an Honors BFA in Visual Arts in 2005. She gained extensive experience teaching art and ESL while living in Taiwan from 2007 to 2008 and also directed children's Art camps here in Victoria. In September 2008, Emily opened The Paint Box, a local art school in Fernwood, since then has been teaching visual arts to all ages. One of the most rewarding, and challenging age groups Emily teaches are the 2 to 5 year old children. Her experience with this age group has lead her to create many mixed media projects that work on children's concentration, creativity and fine motor skills. Rena will demonstrate some of the felt stories she has made and you will also make your own felt story to go along with our "Happy the Clown". This will also be our "End of the Year" potluck night so please feel free to bring a little something to share. Come and enjoy some fellowship with other providers and learn how to turn those felt squares into something for your programming as well as going home with a story of your own.
